fine art photographer

Having worked as a photographer for more than 30 years, both in the studio and on location, it has always been the lure of the outdoors that has fuelled my passion for photography.

Whilst studying photography at Blackpool Art College in the 80s I mastered the craft of film photography using 5”x4” and 10”x8” large format cameras, then printing my work using traditional darkroom techniques. These analogue skills, which are still relevant today, have formed a solid basis for the way I now work in the digital age.

Through my photography I hope to convey my personal vision, recreating the emotions felt at the time of making the photograph, capturing light, space and texture within a simple composition.
